Visit to Skaneateles

{Tuesday, September 18, 2007}

John and I could not be any more in love with our daughter. She is Christmas, Thanksgiving and Halloweeen wrapped up in one cute little bundle. She makes us smile and laugh so much. She is getting so good at going around her little activity center since she is exercising her leg muscles. My mom has been having such a great visit and keeps telling me that she is going to take Sofia home with her in her carry-on luggage.

Our social worker called us yesterday to check to see how we are doing since we returned home from China and I told him that we could not be better. I let him know that Sofia has her 1st pediatrician's appt. tomorrow and that our little girl is like a sponge and learning so much everyday. He laughed and said that he doesn't ever remember someone being so happy such a short time after returning home. Although we are exhausted, she is the light of our lives.

We went to Skaneateles this weekend and had lunch and went to the orchard to get apples. I love Skaneateles and can't wait to go back in a few weeks with John's parents when they come back to visit. Here are the latest pics of our sweet Sofia.

What a beautiful little girl!

Sofia had her face hidden under her blanket when I came in her nursery to get her this morning, too funny! Guess she's not a morning girl.

Skaneateles - love it!! My Uncle Benny lived there. He had a Ford dealership quite a while ago - DiNardo Ford. My Aunt Kay is still there and she has a speciality shop - its a candy store. This stuff is to die for!! I'll miss that this Christmas for sure!! Her shop is called Vermont Green Mountain Speciality Company right on Genesee Street. Sofia is just precious!

Thanks for sharing more cute pics. Esp. love the family photo. What a beautiful place too. And your mom looks so young. They wouldn't give a second glance if Sofia did go along with her ( : but we know that won't happen!
