Cleft Palate Surgery

{Monday, November 26, 2007}

Sofia's surgery for her cleft palate is tomorrow at 11:00 am. She will also have tubes put in if the doctor finds any liquid behind her eardrums. The doctor said she cannot eat anything tomorrow morning before surgery. I know that everything will go fine, but I am going to really hate to see my little girl so helpless. Dr. Tatum is a very well respected surgeon. I will post to my blog when I get a chance. We are expecting to be in the hospital for 5-6 days.

You are in our prayers. Sofia will be just fine, I think it's harder on mommy and daddy. I know this is nothing in comparison but when Lilly had to have tubes put in last November it was hardest on me. Will you be able to be with Sofia up until they tart the surgery? Take care and we will be thinking of you. Oh, when you get a chance email me your addy again, I still have a package sitting here for Sofia! Take care,
Love,
Michele & Lilly

Sending you good thoughts, it isn't easy for a mom to ever see her baby in pain. She will be fine, she has a good Mommy and Daddy to care for her! Hang in there. I love the Thanksgiving Photos!!

I hope you got my email. I wish you all the best. Everything will be okay. Make sure you get some rest during this time because I know you will be at the hospital most of her stay if not all. You need to be rested when she returns home.
Love you.

I will be thinking of you all tomorrow and sending healing thoughts your way. I'm sorry baby Sofia has to go through this but it will help her so much in the long run! She is blessed to be here and have a good surgeon and her devoted parents. Take care. Love, Dale

I hope everything goes well tomorrow. I know how hard it is to have your baby go through surgery (my daughter Sydney had open heart when she was 18m), but hang in there. I'll say a little prayer for you both.
