• Hi There!

Hi, my name is Jonni and I am Mommy to Sofia (5 years old) and Samantha (6 years old) and wife to John. We reside in upstate NY. Our daughters are 5 mos. apart in age and a whole lot of fun. Sofia is from Jinchang City, Gansu and she turned 11 mos. during our trip to bring her home from China in 2007. Samantha is 5 mos. older but was our 2nd adoption. She was 3 years, 4 mos. when we brought her home from China in 2009. She is from Yangzhou City, Jiangsu.

I love blogging about our girls, photography, fonts, printables & crafts and I also have a slightly obsessive John Mayer addiction. Thank you for stopping by. :)

We are having a great time at my in-laws. Today is our last day and then we head home tomorrow morning. Hope everyone had a nice 4th. We did, other than the neighbors that had fireworks going off until midnight. Don’t get me wrong, I am not an old fogey, but the dog gets so…

Liene - I’m so jealous!!! I so want a DSLR. I love my regular SLR but it would be nice to see the photos immediately. The digital that I got 2 yrs ago for Mother’s Day I love actually and it takes great photos but I can’t take good photos at night on it due to the slow shutter speed.

kerri - Bring on those photos, congrats Jonni on the new camera, she’s a beauty. ;)

bbmomof2boys - Hi ya chick!

You’ll love the rebel – I love mine!! When the boys play ball I can click away and get those action shots.

~Carla

MotherMotherOcean - Look on Amazon for it. First off, many companies like http://www.jr.com/
http://www.us1photo.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=4127
have deals with a lens.
Amazon had it for $100 off for 6 different days last month.

I love mine.

Yes, Minister... - You won’t be disappointed – I have a Rebel and a 5D. I actually and looking for a point and shoot by Canon so I can have something in my purse at all time :D
ladybug hugs,

nikki - Glad you’re having a good time! We also had fireworks goin’ off in our neighborhood until after midnite…luckily Lily slept right thru it.

Congrats on getting a new camera – that will be so much fun.

Give sweet Sofia a big hug from us.
XO

Catching Up…

Our homestudy went well and we received a copy of it on Tuesday. The homestudy was also forwarded to our agency who will then forward it to USCIS and hopefully in 2-3 weeks we will receive our I-171H and then our dossier will be authenticated and translated, then off to China! The cookout that we…

kerri - Happy to hear your homestudy went well and things are progressing well!!
The pictures are terrific, looks like a terrific cookout.
Your blog looks just amazing. ;)

Janet - That last pictures is ADORABLE!!!!!

I LOVE the top of your blog. Did I tell you that already? It is SO nice!

Leslie - Hey Sweet Girlfriend,

Your cookout looked like a lot of fun. I wish we lived closer…hee hee. I’m so glad things are moving along on Samantha’s adoption. Your SW looks like a very nice man. We loved our SW and used her for both of our adoptions also.

Your blog looks great, but it always has. Your very talented with the HTML and Photoshop. I have been playing with my blog, but will never get as fancy as you. I spend enough time on the computer, I couldn’t learn all the in’s and out’s of photoshop and still take care of the family..LOL. You rock and so does you blog.

Thanks for stopping by my blog the other day, and letting me know you guys were still alive. I miss all the posts you used to do…hint hint.

Cheri H - Love the new look! The picture is just beautiful! We will be praying for Sophia while she has her surgery. Lia has her tubes put in on July 22nd and will have her sedated hearing tests right after. She never comes out of sedation well!

Hope your visit went well!

Carol - Hey we would love to see you in PA!!!!! I hope you can make it!!!!!

kimi kreations - Had to check in and see if things had progressed. Good Luck with the social worker and hug Sofia for me before her surgery.

~kimi~

redmaryjanes - Your blog looks gorgeous. I know that your homestudy will go just fine and in the long run, this surgery will help her so much. I know how scarey it is to have your child put under. Hang in there, it will be ok. I will pray for little Sofia.

Carol - Love that photo!!

nikki - Wow Jonni, that header about took my breath away! Just stunning.

Hope all went well with your social worker!

Snowflowers Mum - good lcuk with the surgery!!! well be thinking about wee Sofia!

Good news on the SW visit….it was the same for us too…very fast since we wound up our last post placement for Piper with Paisleys homestudy…like you said, there isnt much that isnt complicated in IA…nice to catch a break once in a while!

Hope the home study went well…I’m sure it did.
We’ll be thinking and praying for Sofia, try not to worry (yeah right) she will be just fine :)
love,
Michele

insanemommy - I can’t wait to see the new design….. I hope the surgery is not to difficult for little Sofia. I’ve talked to our doctor about putting tubes in Katie’s ears due to her chronic ear infections. But for some reason her peds has been reluctant to do it. I may be forced to look for a new doctor. Keep us posted on Sofia…

Hugs. Rony

Carol - Sofia won’t remember the pain in years to come and she will be happy you had it done.

I have one getting ready to be a teen now and it’s all about the hair, and clothes,….ugh!!! and this is a BOY!!!!

Janet - We are having our social worker next week for our update visit. Uganda requires THREE! AAAAHHHHH!!!!! Anyway, what can you do!

kerri - Whatever you decide with your blog design will be brilliant, your the master my friend. I just love your work. ;)
Will be sending wonderful thoughts and prayers Sofia’s way for her surgery in July, both my nephew’s had tubes in their ears, it wasn’t too bad.
Good luck with the social worker tonight.

Bucket - Just had to tell you, you have the most beautiful little girl! I wish you the best of luck with your next adoption!

-Susan

MotherMotherOcean - Good luck with the social worker.
