Last night Sofia suffered her first accident where there was blood. I was in the kitchen with John and Sofia was around the corner. Next thing I know, she is screaming on the floor. I think she may have hit the corner of the table with her mouth. I picked her up and held and comforted her and then I realized her mouth was bleeding from the inside. I tried not to panic and handed her to John so he could look in her mouth and see if she had any broken teeth. I just couldn’t bear to look. Thank goodness she didn’t. It looks like she must have bitten the inside of her cheek though. We are so appreciative that it was not more serious. John and I later discussed how frantic and scared we were. Nothing is worse than your child getting hurt. Luckily, she was better within 15 minutes and back to her old happy self.
On a happier note, with the the recent referral excitement, I forgot to post pics of Easter and Mother’s Day. Since I keep this blog as a journal for Sofia the girls, I figure I better update it. Can you believe I just wrote girls! I have girls now, 2 wonderful daughters who are only 5 months apart. Sofia is so excited about her sister Samantha and calls her “Sammie”. Sofia is also excited to get a big girl bed and share a room with Sammie. We can’t wait and hope our PA, LOA & TA comes soon. Here’s some pics from Easter and Mother’s Day. Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day!
Sofia with her Easter Baskets from the Easter Bunny and Grandma & Grandpa S. We also went to brunch at the Brae Loch Inn. It has become a fun Easter tradition for us that we look forward to every year.
Sofia wearing her bunny ears.
Sofia loved looking for eggs, it was very cold outside though. It was about 40 degrees, so I had Sofia take off her coat just for a second for a picture.
Sofia found all the eggs the Easter Bunny left for her and the eggs each had a small farm animal inside that Sofia love playing with.
Sofia & John were so thoughtful and gave me a beautiful bouquet of flowers for Mother’s Day. John also got up with Sofia so I could sleep in and he and Sofia prepared a wonderful breakfast for me. I feel so fortunate to have the best family ever.

Grandma Monica - Bubbles, Whoppers, Peeps what a great Easter! Love her little dress. When did you get the second dog? Happy Mother's Day…ain't it Grand! Best Wishes.
Michele - What a cute bunny you have there! Great pics, thanks for sharing. I also watched Jon and Kate on Monday, it is sad, those poor kids. I don’t think this one is going to work out I see a divorce in the future
Liene - What a nice haul from the Easter Bunny!!!
I never really got into Jon & Kate + 8. I've caught several episodes here and there but I think that "reality" TV destroyed their relationship. I think the fame kind of went to Kate's head and Jon is and has been so over it for awhile now.
Yes you have girls! Just like I now have kids. It feels so weird saying that (even though Emi is still in China).
Mouth injuries can be scary. Eriks has bitten his lip and cheeks so many times where there's been a bunch of blood but he's always been fine. You just have to remind yourself that kids are clumsy and there will be accidents.
bbmomof2boys - GIRLS!!!!! Yeah, you’re not excited at all are you?!!
I’m excited for you guys too. You are both such great parents to Sofia and have so much love to share! Sam has a very loving family waiting for her.
Love ya!!
Carla
Joy Howse - WOW, girls!!! That is so exciting. Great pics!! love her beautiful Easter dress and vibrant pictures. Can’t wait to see pictures of Samantha. I am sure she is BEAUTIFUL inside and out.
Colleen - I am still catching up on your blog and it sounds like Sofia (I realized I spelled her name wrong on my comment above..sorry!) is doing beautifully with the excitement of her sister!! Such exciting times for you all!! I am just so happy for you. Yeah!!!!!! Sofia is sooo beautiful!
Snowflowers Mum - Hey…I am probably the only person on the planet who knows zero about the Jon & Kate thing.
Love the photos as always! Can't wait to see the girls together!
Lisa - Hey! I love your new look. Very fresh.
I too like Jon and Kate but have been busy lately and haven’t been able to watch. I’ll have to look up on what’s going on in premier 5. I’m not sure what’s going on.
Yes you have girls. Plural, not just one anymore. I’m so excited for you and can’t wait to follow your new adventure.
This pics of Miss Sofia are wonderful as usual. Just think soon you’ll have two subjects to bribe, I mean photograph.
