I am so excited, I can hardly stand it. We received our PA today and I will be posting pics of our newest daughter Samantha here later this afternoon. The wonderful call from our agency made my day! John is on a plane right now flying to Philly for business. I hope he checks his voicemail soon. Updates to come...
Update - Here is our little girl Yang Yu Ping, soon to be named Samantha Katherine. She was born 5/8/06 and is currently residing at the Yangzhou City SWI in Jiangsu. We hope our LOA and TA come soon because we can't wait to bring her home and get her out of those overalls and into some girly clothes. I just ordered a bunch of hairbows for her and Sofia. Now, I am off to send her a birthday cake and care package since we were not able to send this before PA.
Our Daughter Samantha's Chinese Name: Yang Yu Ping
DOB: May 8, 2006
Province: Jiangsu
Here is some information I found out about Samantha's province online:
Jiangsu is the most densely populated province in China. It has the second highest GDP in the nation after Guangdong. But it has a more balanced industrial structure and a more skilled, better-educated workforce than Guangdong. Chemicals and textiles are its main industries. It is China's biggest producer of pesticides, sulfuric acid, and electric motors, and holds second place in the production of caustic soda, soda ash, and detergents. With 1,100 km of coastline on the Yellow Sea, it is the nation's largest producer of freshwater shrimps, prawns, crabs, and the third largest source of freshwater fish.
Samantha's Referral Photo. This was taken around September 2008 at 28 mos.
Two new friends were kind enough to send me photos of Samantha that they had. They belong to the Yahoo group for the Yangzhou Orphanage and were there in 2007 and March 2009. These pictures mean so much to me. The following pictures are from March 2009 when Samantha was 34 mos.
These pictures were taken in July 2007 when Samantha was 14 mos.

I am so excited for you. I saw Samantha's pic over at China Adopt Talk. She is so cute. We just accepted a referral last week for a little girl who will be two in Sept. I would love to be over there for her birthday or even have her back here in the US for her second birthday. Our dossier hasn't been through review yet (LID3/12/08)so our LOA will take longer. I guess we have to get PA first. My 6 1/2 year old son is so excited. I haven't put any pics of her on my blog yet. I am waiting for PA. The site is www.theweaversworld.blogspot.com.
Congratulations again,
Joy

How is Sophia doing with all the excitement? Will you have her travel with you?
Was also wondering if you ever received the citizenship package that we turn in at the airport? I still need to get my form notarized and sent in.
