I have been staying busy trying to get things organized for Samantha's arrival. I have just about finished Sofia's & Samantha's bedroom. It has just taken a while since we have been staying busy and enjoying our Summer. John and Brian (our next door neighbor/saint) put together a new wooden playset for the girls this past weekend and we went to the Dragonboat Festival yesterday. Sofia loves the new playset. I hope to post some pics of the Dragonboat Festival in the next day or so. We are going to Long Island toward the end of the week. We are still waiting for our LOA and on 7/7, it will be 60 days down since we sent our LOI. I think I am going to do a little experiment this week and try to get out and shoot some photos using only my Canon 50mm f/1.8 lens. I really love the 50mm and have not used it in so long.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I received the Canon PowerShot the other day and really like it. It also shoots pretty good video. I have decided that I am going to bring both the Canon DSLR and the PowerShot to China. Although I am only going to use the PowerShot for video at this point. Thanks for the comments/advice about the PowerShot. I really appreciate it.

Here's a little preview of the Dragonboat Festival. It is a picture of Sofia blowing bubbles under the picnic area. She had a wonderful time and she got to play with her girlfriends. Can you believe Sofia finally has a tan this year! I usually put a SPF bazillion on her but this year I figured it would be good for her to get a little sun for a change.

I am glad you are up to good things. I was wondering where you were. Glad you like the camera. It works well.
Oh, I bet Sophia loves the playset! I hear ya about keeping busy. It was great seeing you on Sunday. Sophia looked adorable. I can't believe you are already at 60 days waiting! I hope you do not have much longer. Have fun on your trip!
I can't wait to see you guys in a few weeks!! Little T has really come out of her shell and is starting to play with the other kids (finally!). If all goes as planned and we don't have baseball (please pray that our team loses! LOL) then we should leave on the 9th. The reunion is on the 11th and we'll leave to come back home on the 13th. Its a quick trip but with the wedding in August we have to keep it short. So...I'm thinking maybe the 12th? We can stop in and see Big T's momma for a few then hop over to see you guys. Let me know what your plans look like.
Love ya!
Carla
I love my 50mm lens, but I don't have a great L lens to use either, and this one lets in the most light.
I covet thy swingset...I do!
oh, and I have fabric here for you...it's coming!
Wow 60 days! I'm so excited...can't wait!!!
What a cutie!
She is simply adorable as usual!!
Come on LOA!
Hugs, Jill
PS, things are about to get nuts around out household soon too!
Can't wait to see the rest of those pictures!
