• Hi There!

Hi, my name is Jonni and I am Mommy to Sofia (5 years old) and Samantha (6 years old) and wife to John. We reside in upstate NY. Our daughters are 5 mos. apart in age and a whole lot of fun. Sofia is from Jinchang City, Gansu and she turned 11 mos. during our trip to bring her home from China in 2007. Samantha is 5 mos. older but was our 2nd adoption. She was 3 years, 4 mos. when we brought her home from China in 2009. She is from Yangzhou City, Jiangsu.

I love blogging about our girls, photography, fonts, printables & crafts and I also have a slightly obsessive John Mayer addiction. Thank you for stopping by. :)

The Wolf Moon

Tonight’s full moon is the biggest and brightest full moon of the year. It offers anyone with clear skies an opportunity to identify easy-to-see features on the moon. This being the first full moon of 2010, it is also known as the wolf moon, a moniker dating back to Native American culture and the notion…

kerri - Oh my gosh!! That is awesome, oh your talent amazes me!!
Inspiring…

a Tonggu Momma - GORGEOUS! (the moon and your photo)

Nettie - wow!! that is amazing!! how in the world did you take that with only iso 100? LOL i'm not to knowledgeable about night time photography!

*Overflowing* - wow…that is soooo cool!!! Great shot!!

Sue - Jonni,
Are you kidding me? This is beautiful. This shot makes all the money you spent on your camera worth it, doesnt it??!
Great Job!

Snowflowers Mum - amazing Jonni, I was going to do the same but the munchkins were just too rowdy last night. You captured it beautifully

Amy K. - That is simply amazing! You are so inspiring, Jonni!

Sara - Stunning Jonni! Hope you didn't have to stay outside too long:)

Samantha’s Accident

Last Saturday the girls were playing and running around their room and we were in the next room when suddenly Sofia and Samantha came into our bedroom and Samantha told us she hurt her head and John picked her up and rubbed the back of her head, he saw blood coming from a gash on…

Norah - WOW, poor thing! So ummm, how does that work? How do the staples come out?

*Overflowing* - Poor baby! She's a tough one, though! My girls are definitely tougher than my boys…hehehe! Glad she's okay!

Sara - Poor Pumpkin! Oh my goodness Jonni! I saw you reply to a post on ILP regarding Blogger…so I thought I would click on your blog:) I am absolutely stunned at how you have customized it. Love the flash header! You should should make a small blog designing biz for people who can't figure out how to customize Blogger:) Great job and beautiful girls!

La-La-Liene - Oh No! I'm so glad she's OK. I can certainly relate how terrifying that is. Eriks fell and gashed his cheek almost right under his eye at 23 months old. Luckily no stitches but they did glue it shut. He still has a small scar. It scared me to death because he could've damaged his eye to the point of blindness.

The gifts the girls got look awesome. Love the shirts.

Kristin - Poor girl!! Hope she's feeling well!

Cute Valentine's shirts! :)

Amy K. - Poor Samantha! What a trooper though. That's one brave, special little girl you have (well, make that TWO brave and special little girls).

Half Gaelic, Half Garlic! - OH NO….poor baby!!! What a brave one she is….. sounds like she handled it all pretty well!

What a cute vday package….I love the shirts.,.can't wait to see the girlies in those:)

Have a great week!

xo,

Lisa

MamMaw Monica - I have found that the pain is always greater for parents (and grandparents)so far those accidents have not needed stitches for Lil Orchid but I couldn't let her look into my eyes during all the exploritory tests when she was younger. She has always had this keen sense of studing your face. Sometimes she can really freak strangers out because she will stare right through them. Hang in there and tell John I'm really proud of him. Brave Daddy! Brave Little Girl!!

norie - jonni…i have the shivers just looking….

hope she is healing well…

norie

Denise Olson - Poor poor little baby!!! The good ol' Toddler years. Hang in there mom!!!! :)

a Tonggu Momma - Oh, no! Poor little thing! And poor you! Nothing wrong with 15 minute cell phone updates when something like that happens. I hope you let her eat some of those sweet treats to distract her.

The Gang's Momma! - Awwww, poor girl! We had a similar incident when our LadyBug was 4. She was "sumo" wrestling with her brothers and got 7 stitches. They had to shave her pretty little head and the hair had finally grown long enough to do real honest to goodness ponytails :(

Glad Samantha is okay – it's always harder on the Momma :)

Love all the pics – I've been reading just not always stopping to comment. Finally have ALL FIVE of the kids (and Daddy!) healthy at once :)

Jill - OMGoodness! Poor Sam! Sounds like she handled things like a trooper! Go Sam!!!!
LOVE the Valentine's gifts! Thise shirts are adorable!
Been thinking of you Jonni! Give the girls hugs from us!

Sofia & Samantha’s 1st Dance Class

Sofia and Samantha attended their first dance class at our local YMCA on January 9th. They had a ball and absolutely loved it. When we read the class information it said that street clothes would be fine to wear and wouldn’t you know when we show up almost everyone has a leotard and tutu! I…

a Tonggu Momma - Isn't it just a riot that something as simple as shuffling across the room turns into something Amazing! Graceful! Miraculous! when it's our children we are talking about? Hee hee. The video was absolutely adorable! Even more adorable was John's pride in them.

Amy K. - Oh, they are so cute together! I love Sophia turning around every few minutes to say, "Hi, Daddy!":) Those girls are so precious!

Half Gaelic, Half Garlic! - Oh how cute are they!!! so glad you captured it on video:) I need to sign Sarah up….she wants to take ballet too!

Hope you all have a great week!
