• Hi There!

Hi, my name is Jonni and I am Mommy to Sofia (5 years old) and Samantha (6 years old) and wife to John. We reside in upstate NY. Our daughters are 5 mos. apart in age and a whole lot of fun. Sofia is from Jinchang City, Gansu and she turned 11 mos. during our trip to bring her home from China in 2007. Samantha is 5 mos. older but was our 2nd adoption. She was 3 years, 4 mos. when we brought her home from China in 2009. She is from Yangzhou City, Jiangsu.

I love blogging about our girls, photography, fonts, printables & crafts and I also have a slightly obsessive John Mayer addiction. Thank you for stopping by. :)

Enjoy the week of celebrations.

Proud Parents of Halainah Grace - Ok…so I just watched your video and I have tears in my eyes….so so sweet…it just melts my heart. I hope that when we are finally able to bring home a mei mei for our daughter she has giant warm hugs like Sophia. Ok…I need to go grab a tissue now :)

Proud Parents of Halainah Grace - I just found your blog through your video on youtube. Your two China princesses are adorable. I LOVE love love your valentine pics. Gotcha day for our daughter was in January 2009, she is from Jiangxi Province and we are paperchasing for #2…sisters are so important. I'm so glad to meet you and so happy to have found your blog which I am now following :)
Many Blessings and Happy Valentines Day and Happy Chinese New Year,
Deanna

Christie - No, now a days they come attached with things like Huge Pixie Sticks and Dip Sticks filled with sugar. I,m a little bitter about it because I am a teach school and we had our V-Day party today. These sugar filled tubes were the V-Day cards/treat of choice this year. Having a room full of major sugar highed 3rd graders was a crazy to say the least.

Anonymous - I LOVE the Valentine's day photo of these 2 beautiful and happy girls! Thanks for thinking of me! Have a wonderful Valentine's weekend! Maureen

a Tonggu Momma - Ours have envelopes this year. *embarrassed shrug*

MamMaw Monica - Yes, I'm sory to say you ARE old school (not old)…LOL…actually it's probably been quite a few years since the companies went cheap and withdrew the envelopes.
Lil Orchid went with Kai Lan valentines;)

Roberta - I hear you. I opened Helaina's box of Barbie Valentines last night and couldn't believe you fold and seal them with a heart sticker. Wonder when they stopped including envelopes – we're not THAT old, are we??!!

Colleen - I know! I said the same thing! I picked some up for Faith, but her teacher wants them to make their own this year. It was more work, but Faith had fun doing it.

Snowflowers Mum - we made ours this year. it's all a bit much really. I'm still trying to convince Piper that valentines day doesn't involve masses of presents…sigh

I have been working really hard on shooting in Manual and understanding the relationship between ISO, Aperture and Shutter Speed and since that was not already stressful enough, I attempted to try to learn how to use my new Alien Bee 800 and Giant Softbox today.
