• Hi There!

Hi, my name is Jonni and I am Mommy to Sofia (5 years old) and Samantha (6 years old) and wife to John. We reside in upstate NY. Our daughters are 5 mos. apart in age and a whole lot of fun. Sofia is from Jinchang City, Gansu and she turned 11 mos. during our trip to bring her home from China in 2007. Samantha is 5 mos. older but was our 2nd adoption. She was 3 years, 4 mos. when we brought her home from China in 2009. She is from Yangzhou City, Jiangsu.

I love blogging about our girls, photography, fonts, printables & crafts and I also have a slightly obsessive John Mayer addiction. Thank you for stopping by. :)

Chinese New Year Party Snapshots at Our Friends’ Home

Saturday evening we attended a fun get-together at our good friends’ home. We had a blast at their CNY party and the kids had a blast as well. Our hostess Jean made homemade eggrolls, soup and rice. We also got to see our friends Robin and John and their family too. Here’s a few shots from the night. The quality isn’t so great since the light was low and I accidentally put the camera on Av instead of Tv. A lot of the pics are out of focus but I wanted to share them. I was downstairs most of the time and Sofia and some of the other kids came down to play and Samantha was upstairs playing Guitar Hero with the big kids, so unfortunately I don’t have many pics of Samantha. I need to make sure to wrangle Sammy and get more pics of her next time.cowboy
2010 is the Year of the Tiger. I have a feeling it is going to be a lucky year.

Sofia and Ty
Sofia and Ty. Sofia and Ty are from the same SWI and Robin received Ty when we received Sofia. We always joke that they are going to get married. I sure hope they do since we ♥ Ty and his family.

Unfortunately I really messed up a lot of the group shots. I had the wrong camera setting and had the aperture way too low which resulted in Sofia being out of focus in the shot above and the shot below was out of focus as well but I did the best I could to make them somewhat salvageable.

Samantha loved the cute little stuffed dog she was holding.
