Today Samantha and I went out to one of our local parks to take a few pics and go to dinner together. I really want to make an effort to spend time with each girl individually. I told Sofia that in the next couple of days I will take her out for pictures and dinner with just me. Here’s a few from today. I used my 85mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.4. I kept the lenses at 2.8 with various shutter speeds/ISOs. It was so hot and poor Sammy was about to melt. I will wait until the sun is lower next time.
I was so excited to find the little school desk in the picture below on Craig’s List this past Saturday. It was only $20 and I had to drive about an hour and fifteen minutes down to Vestal, NY to pick it up but it was well worth it. I wanted to use it as a photography prop and the girls have also loved playing with it. On the way, I passed an antiques shop that was going out if business and SCORED some great deals. The lady was nice and let me talk her down to about half price on everything. I loved it, it felt like an episode of American Pickers! I really dig that show.
