Tonight, John and I took the girls along with Grandma C. to Lights on the Lake. It was our first year of going through the two-mile light display and a whole lot of fun. It sort of reminds me of a smaller Heritage USA. That was the place ran by the infamous Jim Bakker and Tanny-Faye Bakker (later Messner) of PTL. Heritage USA was huge and only a short drive from Charlotte. When I was a kid my father, step-mom, step-brother and I would drive to Fort Mill, SC every year to see the amazing Christmas lights. But anyways, we really enjoyed the Lights on the Lake this year and plan to make it a tradition from now on. Last year we started another tradition of wearing only our PJs to drive through the neighborhoods near us to view Christmas lights and the girls got such a kick out of wearing PJs to see the lights we decided to now make it a tradition of going to Lights on the Lake every year in PJs.
