• Hi There!

Hi, my name is Jonni and I am Mommy to Sofia (5 years old) and Samantha (5 years old) and wife to John. We reside in upstate NY. Our daughters are 5 mos. apart in age and a whole lot of fun. Sofia is from Jinchang City, Gansu and she turned 11 mos. during our trip to bring her home from China in 2007. Samantha is 5 mos. older but was our 2nd adoption. She was 3 years, 4 mos. when we brought her home from China in 2009. She is from Yangzhou City, Jiangsu.

I love blogging about our girls, photography, fonts, printables & crafts and I also have a slightly obsessive John Mayer addiction. Thank you for stopping by. :)

♥ They Warm My Heart ♥

I was walking through the girls playroom today and saw this. They had put their Ni Hao Kai-Lan dolls together in their play highchair and even fixed lunch for their dolls. My daughters just warm my heart.

The Gang's Momma - Oh my. How cute is that?! BFF’s forever and ever and ever! LOVE it. Li’l E has two KL dolls and a couple of KL’s friends. She doesn’t really play with them right now. I love them, but she’s not quite as enamored :)

The Gang's Momma - What a great post. Happy Birthday, John. And we’re so in love with that book. We talk freely about adoption around here all the time. Li’l E loves to look at the pics of her with “China Mommy and China Daddy” and we show her the couple videos we have. She’s not connecting it all yet, but the fact that we talk about them is (I’m praying!) paving the way for these same kinds of conversations. She occasionally will use a cuddle/talk time to ask me to give her a bottle like China Mommy used to do (from what she sees in the videos) and when she does, I scoop her up and tell her the story of the first bottle I gave her on the day we met. Then we rock and pray for China Mommy and China Daddy.

BeckyB - Great post – thanks for the great parenting words!!
