Samantha & Sofia attended their very first Father-Daughter dance today at Oneida Country Club. The dance was sponsored by the Girls Scouts. They saw a few of their co-Daisy Scouts that are in their same troop but most of the girls were older Girl Scouts from other troops. I was so happy that the girls felt so special wearing their pretty dresses and receiving their corsages from dad once they arrived at the dance. They also received a special Father-Daughter Dance badge for attending and a special laminated picture with dad. John said that he had a really great time too. John and the girls danced for a while and then the girls danced and spun around until they fell laughing on the floor. The girls buddy Cecelia and her dad also attended, so it was nice to have friends there as well. Only dads and daughters could attend so I had to give John a run-down of how to take video and pictures with my compact camera. He did a good job. Some of the pics were blurry since I left the camera on auto for John but no big deal, I just wanted some pictures for the girls to remember all the fun they had at their first father-daughter dance. When John arrived home with the girls he told me how much they loved the snacks that were available at the dance including the ham and cheese crackers and the cake…of course.![]()
