Today the girls and I had lunch at the mall, rode the Carousel and visited the Easter Bunny. The girls could not wait to give him a big hug and tell him how excited they are for him to bring them their baskets on Easter morning. This year I realized just how grown-up the girls are getting and how very sad it is making me. The girls look so big on the Easter Bunny’s lap this year. Samantha and Sofia both recently had growth spurts and now they are approximately 42 inches tall (Sofia is taller than Samantha by just a hair) and Sofia is 36 lbs., while Samantha is 39 lbs. I am sad thinking about how it has been almost 5 and 3 years since we brought our beautiful girls home and how the girls will probably think that sitting on the Easter Bunny’s lap in a few years will be way uncool. I cherish the fact that right now they are still little girls that love to sing loud and dance crazy and are not yet embarrassed by John and I. Childhood passes by way too quickly but John and I truly cherish every single bit of it with our daughters. In approximately a month Samantha is going to turn 6 years old. Gosh, where has the time gone? She was just 3 years 4 mos. when we brought her home and now she is turning 6 years old in a month…wow.

Gina - Could they be any more adorable??????????? Hope you guys had a great Easter. Love you all.
